Mac Os X Lion Torrent Iso

Mac Os X Lion Torrent Iso

I noticed that there are no complete and untouched Mountain Lion ISO images uploaded on any torrent sites. The only one available had its boot sector stripped so it could fit onto a 4.7 gb dvd. Therefore it is not bootable or very hard to boot!

So here is a untouched copy of Mountain Lion in the ISO format. It will require a dual layer dvd to burn! This iso was made by opening the golden master 'InstallESD.dmg' in disk utility and converting it to a cd/dvd master. Macs use the extension '.cdr' for raw image files so I then changed it to '.iso'. Now it is completely compatible to be burned with any iso image burner available! To burn on a mac in disk utility simply change the extension back to '.cdr'. InstallESD.dmg sha1: E5DD2BF5560033CADE7DD7D7DA5CEEC49F701B0E InstallESD.iso sha1: B48FBA8054A252BACABFD8F5B56CF5 The following is a small non installable tool to check the sha1 hash of any file: And the following is a link to the best free disc burning program ever: Enjoy this release and remember to slow burn all discs to increase the longevity and the robustness of the data.

Happy burning, enjoy! Kole212-I am not sure exactly what you are asking but this torrent is intended for those folks who do not have access to a mac and want to burn Mountain Lion from any PC for various reasons. Ex, if you are building a hackintosh computer then you would need this torrent because burning a proper dmg on PC is not easy. Or if your mac drive wont burn correctly for some reason then you can still burn Mountain Lion on any PC.

Here are the download links of torrent and hackintosh versions of Mac OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion DP1, I'm hope this can work on VMware and Virtualbox.

If you already have a working mac there is no reason to download Mountain Lion in the ISO format! The regular dmg is just fine and there are way more seeders so it is a much faster download. For all those who are seeing the torrent downloaded as corrupted can you please elaborate in fine detail as to how the file is corrupted.

For example is there a problem with the installation or are there any particular error messages. Saying this download is corrupted without any detail helps no one. Also this is an untouched copy of Mountain Lion so it should work! Make sure your mac hardware can support this version of Mac OS X before installing it. Mountain Lion is 64 bit only so macs that require 32 bit video graphics drivers will not work! Also if doing an upgrade (not a clean install) you MUST have at least 10.6.8 Snow Leopard installed otherwise it will NOT work. Elemental123-I created and uploaded this torrent and you are correct!

I just did a sha1 hash scan on my windows pc 3 times using the utility that I provided a link to and another hash program, and both times I get the correct hash of B48FBA8054A252BACABFD8F5B56CF5. Then I did the same hash scan on a mac in terminal using the openssl sha1 command and got a whole different hash! It was 65c4aee5fd8d7e68a0be460601e0f068d4a58bc. Try generating the hash using windows and see if you are getting the same result. I have never had a situation like this come up before. I will try to figure out the cause but if anyone has any clue to why this might be happening please post!

In the meanwhile do hash checks using the windows utility. For those people who are having a hard time installing Mountain Lion on a PC it's because you are trying to install it on a PC! Unless you custom built your computer with parts that work with mac systems 100% good luck.

It is a highly improbable that you will install this on a PC and it will work completely right away. A lot of tweaks and other modifications must be done. And even with all the work to make it functional it may still never work properly. Search online forums for help. For all those who are having a hard time burning this image I say try the burning software I provided a link to and set the burn speed to the lowest you possible can to reduce the errors that a high speed burn can cause. This download is a ISO that should be compatible with all software that can burn that format. Hope that helps!

Keep in mind that you do not have to burn this image to dvd to do an install: If you have Mac OS X 10.6 installed with the latest updates you can do an upgrade. Just open the image and double click on the installer. It should allow you to do an upgrade. If you have Mac OS X 10.5 or lower you will have to do a clean install. Backup all your files to an external drive and burn the image OR make a usb installer.

Here is a link to an excellent guide on how to do so. Don't run out and buy blank DVDs if you do not need to. Any usb stick with at least 8 gb will work. Sneak3-Let me clarify a couple things: First: The iAtkos disk is made for hackintoshes.

It is a hacked image of the apple system that allows it to be installed on a compatible pc. It is not a good idea to load a hacked image into a mac that if built by apple. There is no reason to do so because who knows what may happen. If you are installing on an apple machine, just stick with the official untouched OS.

You can always update it within the system. Second: The image I have uploaded '.cdr' and the one provided by apple '.dmg' are identical! They are just in different image formats, but the content in each is completely identical. Using disk utility in mac you can easily convert between the two. But you do not need to because you can put either of these onto a usb drive through disk utility with no problems. Even though the guides ask for 'InstallEDS.DMG', you can use 'InstallEDS.CDR' and still get the same exact result! I hope that answers your question.

If you have anymore questions feel free to ask. Good luck installing this system! I used the rm -rf command and completely screwed my system.

Now it doesn't boot up. All I see is a folder icon with a question mark in it. I don't have the recovery cds.

I don't remember whether they didn't come with the system when I purchased it or I lost them. Its a macbook pro 2009 with snow leopard on it, by the way. And I can't order recovery disks from Apple as I am not currently in US and there is no Apple store in the entire country where I currently am. I was wondering whether: - Is it somehow possible to restore/recover/reinstall the system without the recovery/installation disks? - If I download this software (mountain lion) will I be able to install it on my system?

- What can I do to make a bootable usb/dvd for my macbook pro as currently I cannot use it. I do have access to a pc and internet? - Will I lose all data after reinstallation? I shut down the computer as soon as I realized what the rm command was doing. It had deleted the root directory by then but my data files might still be there.

Please please please help. Cathy007-Assuming Mountain Lion is compatible with your system, you can use it to install a new os onto your system.

The problem is that doing so might delete all your existing files unless you are doing an upgrade. Since you have Snow Leopard, if it was updated you can do an upgrade to Lion or Mountain Lion and all your files will be preserved. There is another way of taking your files off a computer with a os that doesn't boot. Search google for something called 'mac firewire target mode'. This might help you get your files and then overwrite the system with Mountain Lion.

Best of luck and hope everything works out for you. @ungifte: you are a typical dumb ass shit for brain that don't read questions properly.

She said she did RM -RF / - which means it deletes everything and there is nothing on hard drive. @cathy burn this iso in a dvd or make a USB bootable ISo with this Mountain Lion installed on your USB then restart your MAC and hold down Option Key after you turn your computer on. This will give you a DVD or USB option to click on when it boots. Then you can install this GAY OSX on your computer.
